Hôtel Les Armures: sleeping in the heart of the Old Town
In a 17th-century house a stone's throw from the cathedral, Les Armures is the only 5-star in the Old Town. A hotel full of character, rated 4.6, with its famous restaurant on the ground floor.

The verdict
Les Armures means the Old Town as soon as you get up: Saint-Pierre cathedral two minutes away, Place du Bourg-de-Four just behind, the Hôtel de Ville and the Arsenal opposite. The hotel occupies a 17th-century house and keeps its beams and stone.
Its Google rating of 4.6 from nearly 700 reviews rewards above all the setting and the welcome.
Good to know
The ground-floor restaurant is one of the best-known fondue tables in Geneva, with its own listing in our guide. The surrounding streets are among the quietest in the centre at night.
The hill has its constraints: cobbles, slopes and limited car access. With big suitcases, take a taxi to the door.
Our advice
It is the most romantic address in town for a heritage weekend. For a week at Palexpo it is badly placed: the station is a short quarter of an hour on foot, downhill on the way there and uphill on the way back.
Check rooms at Les Armures: the link opens the hotel on Booking.com for an upcoming weekend, change the dates to suit your stay. Prices vary a lot from one week to the next: book with free cancellation.
